Your Family Doctors at Erina in Erina, Gosford

My mother was presenting to Dr Pethen in extreme pain, twice in Febuary 2015 she sent her home with painkillers. On her third visit in March 2015 she asked to go to hospital to get her pain managed. When she was admitted to hospital she was asked why she had deferred treatment for such a long period, they explained to her that the bone scan from October 2014 showed that she has metastatic breast cancer and a very large tumour had developed on her spine. Mum explained that she had not deferred treatment and was unaware of the cancers return. Upon contacting PRP imaging I confirmed with them that a copy of the scans report had been forwarded to Dr Pethen in October 2014. Six months is an extremely long time when it comes to the treatment of cancer and if this doctor had of conducted herself in a professional and ethical manner my mother would still be able to walk and would be alive in five years. She operates through a practice called "Your Family Doctors" I would suggest staying clear of this practice all together. Upon questioning the doctor about her actions myself and my family were sent letters from Dr Pethen stating we were no longer able to go see her or any other doctor at Your Family Doctors, it was very kind of her to offer to forward my mothers files to another practice free of charge. I think the copies of the files maybe missing a few reports to hide her negligence. Please stay well clear of Dr Pethen and "Your Family Doctors" regards.
