Collector Sales - Gary Condon in Paradise Point, Gold Coast

Caveat emptor.
Gary bought items from my elderly parents-in-law both of whom are vulnerable due to age and illness. The items were not of great value but they were family heirlooms which had been promised to members of the family.
I phoned Gary after hearing about 'the incident' to try to explain the situation and to appeal Gary's 'goodness' and request that he return the items and get back his money. Dissappointingly, his first response was to be obtuse about the transaction. Strange, because my mother-in-law had spoken to him that same morning saying she had made a mistake and asked if the items be returned and his money refunded. She says he was rude to her. It was therefore no surprise when Gary was also unreasonable and rude to me.
It was impossible to have a professional conversation without him being overly defensive and resorting to personal insults. I quit the phone conversation at this point as it was clearly going nowhere. It will be up to my parents-in-law as to whether they progess the issue through the office of fair trading.
However, Gary, if you read this, I am happy to collect the items as I live near you. We would happily refund your money plus some (20%) in exchange for your time and trouble.
