Architects Fulton & Salomon in Torquay

I asked Mr. Fulton to design a house for me five years ago, and we met once (when he was in town to see other clients) to discuss the plans. He said he'd need more information about the parcel of land it was to be built on in order to start the blueprints, so I started saving up to buy some.

Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had to give up on this dream. I contacted him to ask for a refund of the fee I paid, since I wouldn't be able to use his services. He said he couldn't because he also had health problems, so I asked if he could tell me where the money went so at least I'd have something to show for sending him almost $2k. He became unpleasant, claimed he'd had my blueprints drawn up a while ago (but for some reason never told me he did?), and threatened to send me a bill for additional money I owed him. He also (falsely) claimed that he bought me dinner when we met, which I apparently also owe him for. Very unprofessional and I'm sorry I gave my money to him.
